Phiane is certified by the International Massage Association as an advanced IMA teacher, accredited by the 26th generation KOBIDO® Grand Master, Dr. Shogo Mochizuki as an official KOBIDO® massage teacher.

She has won numerous awards, including six medals at the World Massage Championships (IMA and Massage World Cup) in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The ORDRE DU MÉRITE HÔTELIER DU QUÉBEC medal was presented to Phiane by Pierre Champagne, journalist emeritus of Le Soleil, for her leadership in promoting wellness in high-end hotels in the same line as haute gastronomy.

The recognition of her expertise in facial massage by her peers is a testament to the ancestral and noble art of touch.

Today, Phiane and her husband Robert Duquet dedicate their energies on teaching. Traveling the world to share their knowledge and make L'œuvre de beauté® a true journey towards unity to uplift and reveal talents in massage therapy.

I believe in wellbeing as a genuine tool for social transformation, community development and destination branding, rather than merely a trend or a product. For over thirty years, my work has focused on integrating health, tourism and social action from an ethical, human and sustainable perspective.

I am a physiotherapist and wellness professional, and throughout my career I have worked as a trainer, consultant and experience designer, supporting individuals, professionals, companies and destinations in transformation processes through a form of well-being that is human, experiential and deeply connected to the body, culture and environment.

Originally from Uruguay and based in the Dominican Republic for over two decades, I have spent much of my career in the Caribbean, supporting the evolution of wellness tourism and helping to broaden the traditional view of the destination beyond sun and sand. From this base, I founded and developed Spa Natural Center, a leading venue in Punta Cana dedicated to integrative therapies and wellness experiences that combine health, body awareness and deep connection.

Over the years, I have designed programmes, retreats and training courses that integrate physical health, emotional wellbeing, preventive education and a connection with the environment, applied in both national and international contexts. This work has supported the growth of a more mindful approach to wellbeing, as well as the creation of employment opportunities.

In March 2026, Lorena Acuña, and daughter Julieta Buonomo Acuña launched an exceptional training programme to raise the bar in pain-relief massage, in collaboration with Phiane Duquet and Flavio Acuña.

This heartfelt initiative brought together professionals and doctors. More than 14 newspapers in Latin America reported on this achievement. Following the boom in the wellness sector, Lorena is coordinating with Veronica Beyhaut to create the Heartist-Wellness-Retreat event in Uruguay.
